Throwing stuff up at the wall, hoping it will stick.

I just did research on an old "online" friend, Boss019 or Rick as some of his friends called him... sadly he has passed away. He was a good friend and treated me with much respect, he will be missed.

Richard (Rick) D. Efigenio died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 in Yuba City.

Born March 3, 1953, in Berkeley, Rick was a graduate of Davis High School and attended American River College to study music.

He had a passion for music and became a professional musician playing in numerous bands while traveling. Rick was the manager of University Radial Tire in Davis, and was a talented furniture maker, dedicated sports fan and computer enthusiast.

He is survived by his son Christopher, a recent graduate of UC San Diego, and employed as a computer engineer, his loving mother Harriet Schier, his sister Heather Padon and his good friend and former bandmate, Jim Dore.

We will miss you, Rick.

Wow that is terribly shocking news, He was such an amazing artist and was always more than willing to give help. He was an amazing guy unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person.

Defiantly will be missed

Rick coached me in making XP Splash logons at which he was the Master.... he was always happy to help others with his special expertise and pumped out some incredible wallpapers as well as logons...

Same goes for me. I would never have been able to produce the troll thumping logons without his personal help. And more importantly he was a great guy!

A great loss [e digicons]:'([/e]

RIP, Rick

I am very sad-  he truly was the best!  I think I have every single Logon he ever made- I loved his splash screens and wallpapers. Even I noticed his helpful input while commenting on other people's works.   It really impressed me about how supremely good he was, yet how down-to-earth he was as well.

I thought it was odd that there was a sudden slow-down of activity from him these past months-   I will definitely miss him, and I suspect that he is continuing on channeling out more fun creative endeavors in the Higher Realms --- can't wait to see them some day!

God bless you, Boss--- You're the best!
